Specialist treatment for continence and pelvic floor muscle problems with Fiona Hart
At some point in their lives many women experience bladder, bowel or pelvic floor problems. Symptoms can have a devastating effect on daily life and may be highly distressing, getting the right advice can help to change these problems. Specialist assessment and treatment is tailored for each woman individually and is available for a range of problems including:
- Stress incontinence: leaking of the bladder or bowel with coughing etc
- Urge incontinence: leaking of the bladder or bowel with an urgent need to get to the toilet
- Urgency and / or frequency: a sensation of urgent or frequent need to get to the toilet
- Pregnancy-realted bladder, bowel or pelvic muscle floor problems

Fiona Hart
Fiona qualified in 1989 at Leeds School of Physiotherapy, she has worked as a physiotherapist in the North West ever since. Fiona currently works part time as a specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist at Wythenshawe Hospital and at Water Lane Clinic. She specialises in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions associated with pregnancy and all aspects of continence, including bladder and bowel related issues and pelvic floor muscle problems. She is an associate member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health.
