Frances West started the business in 1992 in Wilmslow. As the numbers attending grew she moved to the current clinic on Water Lane and the team has now expanded to 11 physiotherapists.
Frances is an Extended Scope Practitioner which means that she can give cortisone injections for things like Tennis Elbow and arthritic knees.
Frances also specialises in the treatment of bodies damaged by surgery or radiotherapy for cancer.
She has taught on courses for treatment of breast cancer complications.
Frances is a keen competitive swimmer, golfer and skier, she understands the need to win and to be fit to compete!
Sarah Gibbons trained at Kings College Hospital, London and then worked for 10 years in London and Liverpool specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Having had a few years career break she is now working at Water Lane clinic and as an antenatal teacher for the National Childbirth Trust (NCT). Sarah’s hobbies outside work include swimming and running
Dom Hallam also works in Disability Sport and went with the Olympic team to Bejing and London for the Paralympics. He has also been the football physio for a local team. At Water Lane he treats everything from spine to sports injuries. Dom's sporting background is in rugby and he brings a lot of experience from there to his physio.
Alison is a specialist teacher in Core Exercises and has a wealth of experience in all things.
Hayley trained at Salford University. She has recently returned to the UK, after living and working in Dubai for 9 years. In Dubai she enjoyed treating the golfers at Emirates Golf Club. Hayley loves the great outdoors and traveling.
Merian is our acupuncture manager. Having completed her MSc in Acupuncture, Merian went on the chair the AACP which is our
acupuncture governing body. Merian is responsible for keeping us all us to date with the latest in acupuncture research and training.
Merian is a native Welsh speaker, but manages English reasonably well! She plays the violin, speaks fluent french, runs, cycles and keeps chickens.
Ruth loves baking, yoga and the great outdoors. And is usually found adventuring with her rucksack and a slice of cake.....
Helen specialises in treating children, especially those with disability. She is involved with Disability Sports Events and has won
awards for her volunteer work. Helen has brings fun and laughter into her clinics and is popular with the teens and the little tots.
